Yesterday was Ben’s 2nd birthday and it was a really amazing day!
The thing that hit me the most though was after the party. Julie, Ben, Joshua and I went out for a walk when it wasn’t raining (which is a rare occurrence these days!) As we were walking I got an amazing sense of how blessed we are as a family and how God has blessed me personally.
This is an exciting time in my life at present, and by exciting I mean changeable! For the last few months things have been up in the air, we’ve been waiting a lot and learning patience, we’ve been really depending on God day to day, and have had some amazing conversations and opportunities.
Up until last week everything was just vision, but now a lot of those things are clicking and are starting to come into fruition. It’s quite exciting actually!
As I walked with my family yesterday it just hit me how they have been such a support to me over the last months. Julie has been intensively listening to plans, being my encourager and correcting me when I’m planning on saying something silly. Ben has really grown up and keeps me smiling with his cheeky smile and shouting “tackle!” before knocking me off my feet. Joshua has started to smile this week and he has really helped me to savor each moment as they fly by so fast!
I was part of a study group on Wednesday and we looked at an overview of God’s attributes and someone said that once we put a list of some of His attributes it makes you stand in awe. This week I have really got another reminder of this.
